Anne O'Sullivan, a founding board member of JumpStart International, began serving as the first Executive Director in February 2005. O'Sullivan served in this capacity for nearly 5 years, establishing JumpStart's headquarter office in Atlanta and overseeing all aspects of the organization and its international projects during her tenure which ended in December 2009.
Prior to this, O’Sullivan’s professional career in publishing spans over 20 years. O'Sullivan worked for American City Business Journals for 18 years, most recently serving as the Production Director for Atlanta Business Chronicle and it’s auxiliary publishing company, ATCOMM Publishing, where she produced and managed the publications for one of the country’s top weekly business newspapers, as well as special publications produced for commemorative events and nonprofit organizations, as well as contract publishing for organizations including Atlanta Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, and professional sports teams in Atlanta.
Among previous experiences, O'Sullivan served as a team leader for Upward Bound, a program to prepare disadvantaged high school students for higher education; as an activity assistant working with developmentally disabled adults; and as a news photographer.
O’Sullivan is a graduate of Berea College in Berea, Kentucky, where she received her BA degree in Industrial Arts with a specialization in Graphic Communications.
